In commemoration of its 25^th Anniversary, Freeport Container Port organized a special community give-back to the Grand Bahama Children’s Home. 

Through the team’s collective fundraising efforts throughout June and July, along with support from its sister company, Freeport Harbour Company Ltd., as well as friends from the corporate community, Team FCP raised funds to fully cover a 1-day round-trip excursion to Baha Bay at Baha Mar, Nassau, New Providence for some 20 children of the Grand Bahama Children’s Home as well as their chaperones and volunteers from FCP. 

The group enjoyed a fun-filled day of activities at the water park, including a special private lunch at Baha Bay on Thursday, August 11^th, 2022. 

Recognizing that the children at the home have faced much loss and hardship, especially in recent years as a result of Hurricane Dorian in 2019, Freeport Container Port was thrilled to partner with our team and corporate friends treat the children to a memorable and joyous experience that they will cherish for years to come. 

We extend heartfelt thanks to Ms. June Hutcheson, Executive Director of the Grand Bahama Children’s Home along with the entire team for allowing us to coordinate this event. Special thanks are also extended to business partners including H. Forbes Charter Services, The Royal Bahamas Police Force, Greg Moss & Associates, The Grand Bahama Port Authority, Freeport Ship Services, BahamasAir and Baha Mar among other personal friends of Freeport Container Port whose contributions helped to make the day a successful one.
