The Engineering Department of the Freeport Container Port invites qualified persons to apply for the position of Junior Engineer. The successful candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Internship in related field highly desired.
• Experience using a database such as FoxPro or Oracle highly desired.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend and follow directions.
• Basic understanding of ISO-9000.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software program.

Essential Functions include but are not limited to:

• Provides general, entry-level support to the engineering department.
• Verifies and tests assigned metrics on projects.
• Enters test results into quality control database.
• Identifies potential areas of product improvement; recommends and assists with development of appropriate solutions.
• Ensures compliance with applicable company and client quality requirements in all assigned programs, functions, products, and areas.
• Identifies and reports problems with specific processes or products to senior engineers.
• Assists senior engineers in the development of new methods to improve product quality and process efficacy and efficiency.
• Fully comply with all HPH-FCP HSSE policies, Departmental SOPs etc.
• Promote a culture to ensure full compliance with all applicable Safety Standards
• Take diligent care of all HPH-FCP property and materials.
• Actively participate in relevant HPH-FCP ENG and HSSE Process Improvement initiatives, other Continuous Improvement Programs, and initiatives
• Personally visit at regular intervals work site where his / her Engineering Teams are working.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
