The Senior Systems & Development Coordinator supervises and leads the Systems and Development Team to ensure the efficient functioning, security, and if necessary, the recoverability of the company’s applications systems. This position is responsible for the strategic and operational management of the company’s information systems, including the implementation and integration of system and technology initiatives necessary to achieve company goals. The Sr. Systems and Development Coordinator is expected to perform business analysis and understand processes to help chart the way forward from an applications standpoint to improve business efficiency and productivity.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems
- 10 years’ work experience
- A+, Server+, Network+, MCSA certification is preferred.
- 8 – 10 years’ experience with Windows desktop and Server products and operational processes or other user perspectives.
- Programming and development experience in Crystal Reports, Java & VBA.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of vast Information Technology Systems
- Strong experience with windows and server 2008/2012/2016 environment.
- Working knowledge of SQL server and how it integrates with enterprise systems.
- Knowledge of VMware and disaster recovery technology techniques.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business strategic plans to IT.
- Strong ability to set strategic plans for department with performance indicators
- Knowledge of COBIT, ITIL and ISO 27002:2005 standards and skill and ability to localize to business environment.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of directors, managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to perform risk/impact assessments, treatments and create controls through policies, procedures and standards with guidelines.
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the Systems and Development support team.
- Supervises the work of staff by facilitating and tracking project status; identifying problems and issues; allocating appropriate resources; and ensuring that support services are completed on schedule and at the highest levels of quality. Assists staff in the delivery of technical services as necessary and appropriate;
- Ensure databases and critical data on enterprise and application systems are properly backed up and protected in accordance with IT department policies and standards.
- Develop baseline measurements of enterprise and database systems, conduct periodic reviews and re-measure to monitor performance and effects of changes;
- Follow and Implement departments policies and standards for change and incident management and that they are consistent with the company’s business needs;
- Determine the cause of application failures/faults, take action to remediate and/or prevent future failures and document action taken;
- Assist the Sr. Systems Coordinator in making recommendations for system upgrades and ensure proper integration into the network without impact to overall system performance or company productivity;
