The Finance Department at the Freeport Container Port Limited invites qualified persons to apply for the position of Inventory Analyst. The successful candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Accounting & Logistics & Distribution or business-related area.
- Microsoft Office at an Intermediate Level, especially Microsoft Excel or experience with Inventory Control Software.
- Minimum two (2) years in positions related to warehousing or inventory activities.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and be fairly comfortable with working with other Databases e.g. Access
- Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts
- Solid decision making, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to solve complex problems individually and quickly.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work well with internal and external stakeholders to implement inventory control plans.
- Must be able to work independently, prioritize, and handle multiple work assignments
- Demonstrates the ability to pay very close attention to detail and immediately notice any discrepancies regarding inventory and financial reporting
- Possesses strong written communication skills for the creation of reports
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and update, with the required frequency, analysis reports for control and monitoring of Warehouse processes.
- Monitor inventory levels very closely and Warehouse management indicators.
- Generate reports requested by Management and the HPH Group.
- Generate monthly Stock Replenishment Template to ensure the timely supply of parts and supplies.
- Develop and implement systems for accurately managing inventory and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Maintain inventory control, guaranteeing high accuracy between physical stocks and their corresponding records in the system. Coordinate the carrying out of periodic inventories and establish mitigation plans for any reported differences.
- Assist with annual inventory counts and investigation of discrepancies.
- Guarantee the physical ordering of the stock, including that the pieces are properly labelled and stored.
- Verify inventory transactions carried out daily (receipts and issuances) and generate the reports required by Finance.
- Develop stock replenishment metrics and audit inventory levels to minimize stockouts.
- Work with project managers to ensure materials availability.
