The Quality, Health, Safety and Environment Department of the Freeport Container Port invites qualified persons to apply for the position of ISO Management Systems Specialist. The successful candidate must possess the following minimum qualifications:
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing similar duties.
- Minimum of an Associates Degree in Health and Safety or a related field.
- Certification as an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor
- Relevant training and/or exposure to OSHA, NEBOSH and ISO Management System.
- Self-motivated and driven to succeed, focused on results.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of all aspects of the ISO Management Systems.
- Computer literate and proficient with various Microsoft Office Suite software.
- Ability to set priorities, goals, and timelines to achieve maximum productivity and deliver results within given deadlines.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Demonstrates the ability to effectively work and collaborate with all departments, customers, tenants and external.
- Ability to think and assess situations quickly and act on own initiative
Essential Functions include but are not limited to:
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Manage and coordinate all aspects of the department’s ISO management systems including policies, strategies, procedures, training, implementation, internal auditing, and reporting.
Lead and conduct internal audits and drills for the ISO management systems.
Support the department’s adherence to management system review schedules.
Responsible for preparation for and participation in external audits of the ISO management systems.
Identifying and delivering relevant management system training.
Delivers routine reports to the Safety QHSSE Manager on the performance of the management systems and include recommendations for continual improvement.
Champion the application of the Quality Management System across all departments and disciplines.
